For many males, they think the watch they put on states a great deal about the subject. For any true watch lover once they park and fly a brand new person they may perfectly consider the person’s watch first and then suggest their first impression of these. There are many premium watch companies out there and of course just about everyone has their favorite, usually choosing one of the brands that dominates the industry. There are a whole lot of brands out there though that are very well known and respected but are not as commonly worn as some of the other brands out there. If you decide to wear one of the watches from one of these brands though you can stand out a bit from all of the other people out there. Today we are going to be looking at one of those watch companies by previewing a few watches from Patek Philippe.
The company was founded by the Polish watchmaker Antoni Patek who started his business by making pocket watches in Geneva, Switzerland. In 1845 Patek joined up with French watchmaker Adrien Philippe, inventor of the keyless winding mechanism. 6 years later in 1851 Patek Philippe & Co was founded. Since then they have had some major accomplishments, not just with their amazing watch designs, but they also had some world records as well. A watch made for Henry Graves Jr. in 1933 was auctioned off after his death in 1999 for $11,000,000, the most expensive watch in the world at the time.
